# How much does AI search optimisation (GEO) cost?

When comparing GEO quotes, first check what you will receive: measurement, a written plan, website changes or ongoing work. Similar totals can buy different results. Ask for the scope and the person responsible for implementation before comparing prices.

## Review, plan and implementation are separate purchases

A review should give you a basis for a decision: which questions were examined, where the business appears and what actions are proposed. A plan describes work to be done. Check whether somebody will do that work or whether it stays with your team and suppliers.

Write the boundary into the proposal. “Implementation included” is insufficient without tasks, dependencies and acceptance criteria. Ask what happens when a necessary change falls outside the agreed scope.

## What one published price list shows

Citable lists EUR 1,800 for a baseline review, EUR 3,800 for a deeper audit and EUR 5,400 for an audit with one agreed, bounded implementation workstream. Implementation is scoped separately at the first two levels. This is one provider’s example, not a market range or ErgoStrat’s price.

Check the current scope and tax basis in the actual quote. The higher level does not mean the entire recommendation backlog will be implemented. Do not carry another provider’s deadlines, meetings or included tasks into a different proposal.

## How to compare the same scope

Ask the proposal to specify:

- Which platforms, markets and languages the measurement covers.
- Which questions are asked, how they are approved and which competitor examples are examined.
- When answers are collected and what evidence you receive alongside them.
- What the plan contains, who carries out the tasks and how completed work is accepted.

A review of a few prepared questions and research into questions from actual customer enquiries are different specifications. Ask where the questions come from. More checks alone do not establish a more useful result; consider the decision you can make with the findings.

## When does ongoing work make sense?

Before agreeing a subscription, specify what repeats: measurement, content editing, technical changes or delivery of a plan. Record volume, frequency, ownership and termination terms. Do not assume that a report automatically includes another month of work.

Distinguish a name mention, a linked citation, a visit and an enquiry. The proposal should explain what will be reported and its limitations. Do not buy a promise of recommendation from a platform the supplier does not control. Choose further work for a defined need, rather than accepting a monthly contract as compulsory.

## Questions

### Why are some quotes given after a conversation?

Ask what is missing to define the scope. Platforms, languages, existing content and implementation tasks need to be clear before comparison. The absence of a public price does not establish the quality or result you will receive.

### Does a review include fixing the website?

Only if the proposal explicitly says so. Check which changes are included, who provides access and who accepts the work. A change plan is not a completed change, and a bounded task is not implementation of every recommendation.

### How does ErgoStrat set its price?

The proposal fixes the price before work starts: 50 questions in total across five platforms, in English, or split between English and Bulgarian if you also sell in Bulgaria. Other providers’ packages do not define our scope. We do not promise that a platform will recommend your business; the proposal should make clear exactly what work you are buying.
