Market prices in EUR for a small business vary widely: from around 99 to 390 euros for a browser-based review of a few key pages from a Bulgarian provider, through 490 euros for a basic five-page review from a German provider and 600 to 1,200 euros for an orientation assessment on the German-speaking market, up to 2,500-5,000 euros for a full check of a simple site and 5,000-10,000 euros for an online shop. The gap comes down to two things. One is how many pages or steps of the customer journey get checked. The other is whether the check is automated only, or includes manual work with a keyboard and a screen reader.

## What pushes the price up or down?

Three factors settle the final figure. First, scope: checking only the homepage costs differently from checking the whole path to an order, cart and payment included. Second, depth: automated scanning is cheap or free, because a machine runs through the page in seconds. A manual check with real keyboard-only navigation and screen reader listening takes a person hours and is priced accordingly. Third, the type of site: an informational site with a few pages is cheaper to check than an online shop with a cart, checkout and forms, because more individual steps need to be walked by hand.

## What are the examples from the market, in EUR?

- Free automated homepage check, the Bulgarian provider Dostapen.BG: EUR 0, results within 60 seconds, no manual work.
- A short manual browser review from the same provider: EUR 99 one-off, ready in 1 to 2 business days, with the top five findings.
- A manual review of four key pages (home, product, cart, checkout) from the same provider: EUR 190 one-off, ready in 3 to 5 business days.
- A full check with a fix plan and a re-check afterward, same provider: EUR 390 one-off, ready in 5 to 8 business days.
- A monthly subscription for automated monitoring after the first check, same provider: EUR 49 a month.
- A basic five-page review from a German provider (Barrierenlos): EUR 490, ready in 3 business days; a full check under the German law: EUR 1,490.
- An initial orientation assessment from the German-speaking market (Accessiway): between EUR 600 and 1,200.
- A full manual check of a simple site from the same market: between EUR 2,500 and 5,000; for an online shop or larger portal: between EUR 5,000 and 10,000.

## Why is the price range this wide?

The figures above do not contradict each other, because they measure different things. The low end, up to around EUR 200, buys a short manual check of one to four pages, about two hours of work. The middle, from around EUR 500 to 1,500, is an orientation assessment or a review of a few pages. The top end, above EUR 2,000, buys real manual work across the whole customer journey, on more than one page. It comes with genuine keyboard and screen reader testing rather than scanning alone. When comparing quotes, the first question is not the figure but what it actually includes: how many pages, automated or manual, and what report comes out the other end.

## Why is monthly monitoring a separate cost?

Every provider above separates the one-off check from ongoing monitoring. The reason is simple: a site that keeps changing, a new product, a new banner, an updated plugin, can quietly bring back an issue that was already fixed. A monthly subscription for automated checking, such as the Bulgarian provider's at EUR 49 a month, protects the result over time. It does not replace the initial manual work, because it remains an automated tool, not a person with a keyboard and a screen reader.

## Questions

### Why don't I see a price on the ErgoStrat page?

Because the price depends on your scope and is set after a short conversation, just as with Accessiway, whose deeper tiers are given only as a range, not a fixed figure.

### Is the free automated check enough for a small business?

For a first read, yes. For a full picture, not entirely: automated tools catch part of the WCAG violations, not all of them. That is why every provider above also offers a separate paid tier with manual work.

### Do the prices above include fixing the findings, not just identifying them?

No, not with any of the providers listed. Even the Bulgarian provider's most expensive tier, EUR 390, delivers a written step-by-step plan and a re-check after you or your developer make the fixes, not the fixes themselves. The German provider separately offers to fix the site directly or support your team, but its price page does not publish a figure for that part.
